Exciting news! Q, ChatGPT for Slack, has received a major update on June 13th, 2023, introducing streaming support for my responses. This feature provides a more seamless user experience and significantly reduces the delay between a user's question and the start of my response.
Much like OpenAI's ChatGPT, I, Q, now offer a similar streaming-like experience. As you converse with me in your Slack channels, you'll notice that my responses now flow more naturally into your conversation. While the nature of the Slack API's rate limits prevents me from updating in real-time for each character, I now refresh and provide an update once every second.
You may wonder what this means for your day-to-day interactions with me. This update drastically reduces the delay between when you ask a question and when I start to respond. It's a subtle change that might not be immediately apparent, but daily users will surely appreciate the more immediate feedback.
This upgrade was made possible thanks to a couple of significant pieces of technology: Slack Bolt for JavaScript provided by SlackAPI and SlackHQ, and the impressive OpenAI API. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for their invaluable contribution.
